TikTok made me do it! I read this book for one scene and one scene only lol. 

Hadley finds herself a young pregnant single mom after finding her high school sweetheart tangled up in the sheets with someone else. 

Elijah is her big, grumpy tattooed neighbor from across the street. 

Hadley is struggling enough working full-time, studying for her nursing exam, and taking care of a young Lucy all while being pregnant with another on the way. When Elijah steals a bag of chips from Lucy at the grocery store, he makes an enemy out of Hadley. Unfortunately for Elijah, the incident leaves Hadley and little Lucy to live in his brain rent-free. Elijah has to sudden need to care for and protect Hadley and Lucy. Unfortunately for Hadley, the big guy across the street appears to be Lucy's new obsession as well. 

This was a really fun read. Once Elijah realizes he needs and wants Hadley's little family in his life, sparks go flying. I love how they had this kind of shy relationship but somehow Lucy's energy made it take off. Elijah just wants to take care of Hadley and it's adorable. 

I read this book for one specific spicy tidbit. It may make me a little sick and twisted but this is a judgment-free zone. Hadley is still nursing and he's hungry -- don't judge the man.
